Yes, for the calls that follow a script: booking, hours, directions, and the ones that ring while every hand in the shop is under a hood. No, for the calls that need a decision: approving a repair, a customer who is upset, a price on a job nobody has diagnosed yet. Why does "inside the ticket" matter so much?
The usual setup bolts on a separate answering service. It takes the call, then emails a summary. Now somebody has to read the email, find the customer, find the car, and enter the appointment by hand. You added a step.
