What does a connected car actually report?

The appointment lands on the shop's schedule without a phone call.

A few honest limits. This works on cars with a plug-in reader paired to the app on the driver's phone. The app does not send the shop a live feed of scans or post alerts to the shop's dashboard. The driver sees the scan, and the shop hears about it when the driver books, texts, or calls. Somebody at the shop still has to answer that booking. The connected car does not change what happens on the lift. It changes what the shop knows when the first conversation starts.
